Prom Policy 2025

1. Eligibility & Attendance

  • This prom is intended for high school students. To attend the Prom, you must be an GA homeschool high school student (with proper DOI filed) at least 15 years old and not older than 19 years old by May 3rd, 2025.

  • Non-homeschooled guests may only attend if they are the guest of a homeschooled student. A non-homeschooled guest of a homeschooled student (same age requirement) must also register and pay the $100 fee.

  • Homeschooled students attending the prom together must register individually as a homeschool student.

2. Ticket Purchases & Entry

  • Tickets must be purchased in advance; no on-site ticket sales will be offered (unless otherwise stated).

  • There will be no physical ticket mailed or distributed. Your registration confirmation email serves as proof of registration.

  • Tickets are non-transferable unless arrangements have been made with the event coordinator.

  • No re-entry is allowed once you leave the venue for the night. Special exceptions may be made for emergencies, at the discretion of event staff.

  • Tickets are $100 per person. Ticket prices include dinner, coffee/tea bar, and a souvenir for each registered homeschooled student.

  • Only online payment is accepted; no cash or checks.

  • There will be no physical ticket mailed or distributed. Your registration confirmation email serves as proof of registration.

  • If you falsify any information on your registration, you will forfeit your opportunity to attend and your registration fee.

  • Registration forms for all homeschool students AND guests must be completely filled out and verified, and online payment must be submitted for each registration to be considered complete. Incomplete registrations will not receive confirmation of attendance. -Information required and requested to complete the registration form for BOTH homeschooled students and Guests include: First & Last name, complete address, home phone, cell phone number, student email address, date of birth, Parent/Guardian name, email, & cell phone number; Emergency Contact person and cell phone number, and payment. Homeschool students must also provide their school name (if applicable), county of homeschool, and an uploaded copy of the current year’s Georgia Declaration of Intent.

3. Dress Code

  • The prom is an elegant formal occasion, and your attire should reflect that. Modest, appropriate prom wear should be worn by all attendees.

  • Attire should align with the event’s theme or be considered semi-formal to formal. Clothing choices should be modest, respectful, and not disruptive to others.

  • Attendees who fail to meet dress code requirements may be denied entry or asked to change.

  • For Gentlemen, please wear a suit; a tuxedo; or dress slacks, a buttoned-up shirt, tie, and jacket. No jeans sneakers|tennis|casual shoes, or t-shirts are allowed.

  • For Ladies, please choose modest formal dress; open backs should be no lower than natural waist; no plunging or low-cut necklines; no bare midriffs. Skirts should be opaque and slits should rise no higher than the knee as well.

4. Conduct & Behavior

  • All attendees are expected to treat each other with respect. Bullying, harassment, or disorderly conduct will not be tolerated.

  • The use of alcohol, tobacco, or illegal substances is strictly prohibited on event premises. Violation may result in immediate removal and possible notification of authorities.

  • Parents or guardians will be contacted if a student’s behavior becomes unmanageable or unsafe.

  • Dancing must remain clean and Prom-appropriate. This is not a club, but a homeschool dance provided by parents who want you to have a fun and memorable evening – in a good way! Explicit or dangerous dance moves will not be permitted.

5. Photography & Media

  • Attendees should be aware that photos and videos may be taken during the event for promotional or keepsake purposes.

  • By attending, you grant permission for the event organizer to use these photos or videos.

6. Security & Supervision

  • Event staff and chaperones will be on-site throughout the evening to ensure a safe environment.

  • Everyone must check-in upon arrival.

  • Attendees agree to respect the authority of all chaperones and adult supervisors.

  • Bags or personal items may be subject to search upon entry to maintain event safety.

  • No bags or backpacks are allowed. Ladies may carry a clutch purse; purses may be inspected at check-in.

  • Attendees will stay within the physical boundaries set for the event, and not leave the premises or venture into areas designated as off-limits.

  • Once admitted to the prom, students will not be allowed to leave and re-enter. No student will be allowed to go to their car unless accompanied by a chaperone. Students will not be permitted to leave the event early unless a waiver and permission slip has been signed by a parent or a parent/guardian who is listed on the registration form is present and presents a valid form of identification.

7. Food & Refreshments

  • Refreshments will be served. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, please inform the event organizer ahead of time to request a menu.

  • The event organizer assumes no responsibility for adverse reactions to any provided food or beverage items.

**Food Allergy Disclosure**

While we strive to offer a variety of refreshments for our guests, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment. By attending this event, you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to consider any personal dietary restrictions or allergies you may have. If you have specific concerns regarding ingredients or food preparation, please notify the event organizers prior to consuming any items. The Homeschool Social Collective L.L.C. assumes no responsibility for any adverse reactions that may occur.

8. Liability Waiver

  • Attendees and their guardians assume all risks associated with participation in the event, including travel to and from the venue.

  • The event organizer is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items or any injuries that may occur on the premises.

  • By allowing your teen to attend this event, parents agree to hold harmless The Homeschool Social Collective committee and volunteers, The Nexxt Space, and any of their agents or representatives, in the event of offense, accident, or injury arising from participation in the The Homeschool Social Collective Prom.

9. Refunds & Cancellations

  • Due to vendor commitments based on attendance, unless the event is canceled by the organizer The Homeschool Social Collective will not issue refunds.

  • In case of rescheduling or unforeseen circumstances, tickets may be honored on the new date, or alternative accommodations may be offered.

  • Tickets may be transferred to another qualifying student ONLY in very limited circumstances and ONLY upon approval. We will not accept guests who are not fully registered.

10. Compliance & Enforcement

  • All attendees must comply with these guidelines as well as any instructions from staff, chaperones, or security personnel.

  • The organizer reserves the right to remove anyone who violates the policy without a refund and to take additional measures if necessary.

  • Absolutely no tobacco, alcohol, weapons, smoking devices, vaping, or drugs of any nature are permitted at the prom. Medical emergency devices, such as Epi-pens and inhalers are allowed and should be noted on the registration form.

  • Parents providing transportation for attendees are responsible to arrive by the scheduled end time of 11:00 pm.

  • Submission of a registration form indicates agreement to abide by all Rules & Requirements of The Homeschool Social Collective.
